Asha Gomez’s new cookbook, My Two Souths, brings together the two cultures most near and dear to her: her mother country, the state of Kerala in southern India, and her chosen home in the American south, Atlanta, Georgia. While these “two souths” are worlds apart, they are made to feel closely akin through her soulful cuisine. Fellow Atlantan and acclaimed chef in his own right, Meherwan Irani, shares the same kindred connection for these two places, and is coming along for the ride to help Asha tell her story.
